MCCFC Teams

C Team

Called the "C" Team because when we grew to two teams in 1998 this one played in the Church League and the other in the Kingston League. Has been in the Southern Area Christian Football League for 14 years now. Highlights have been 4 Cup Finals, winning two and losing two, including the 2001 Cup Final played at QPR's ground Loftus Road.

Were league runner's up in 2001-2 but finished 9th the following year and dropped down to Division 2. The next season after being second at Christmas Manager David Ingold's team slipped to mid-table and with the parachute payments now affecting budgets we were down to looking to home grown youngsters to see us back into the big time! In the past we made the last 16 of the CPO National Church Cup, our best ever run so we had the ability, just not the staying power! 2005-06 season saw us regain Division one status by winning the Div 2 championship. A season with great performances all round, Motis top scored with 20 goals

K Team

Called the "K" Team because when we grew to two teams in 1998 this one played in the Kingston & District League. Started in Division 5 and won the Div 5 Sportsmanship league in our first season. In 2000 were promoted to Division Four after finished third (equal second on points!) and we made two cup finals. Winning the KDFL Teck Junior Cup and losing in the KDFL Lower Junior Cup Final. In 2001 we won the Division 4 League title at our first attempt and also retained the Teck Junior Cup on penalties after extra-time! To cap it off Secretary Gary Payne was named League secretary of the year. The last 2 seasons up to 2003, we finished mid-table in Div 3. We then pulled out of the KDFL as we didnt have the time to attend the meetings or do the extra admin required for another league. The K Team now plays in Div 3 of the SACFL. Managed by Colin White and skippered by Paul Morris last season. For the new 2006-07 season will be jointly led by co-founder Tony Kelly, Andy Simms & Colin White as some 15 year olds from our kids footy make the big step up into adult football. We are confident of winning the league in 5 years time!

M Team

Formed in 1999-2000 and so called because the team plays just once a Month. Ideal for ageing players who need 3 weeks to recover and for players with families. Played in the newly formed SACFL Division Two and became the first ever league Champions in 2000 winning 7 of the 8 league games. Now just play friendlies, a great way to welcome new players and young lads into our club.

S Team

Formed in 2001 for the 2001-2002 season when the SACFL expanded to 3 Divisions and the team entered the Second Division with the M team in the less regular third Division. This team is now our Seniors, ie the guys at least over 35 and we play in the Church League vets division plus other vets teams we can find around. Alan Bishop 53 & Mike Ray at 57 are our oldest superstars!
